Sick and tired of being sick and tired

In this modern day and age I feel great pressure to inform you all that I am suffering from a rather lengthy spring illness, which has lodged itself firmly in my throat and no amount of coughing will shake it loose. This throat ailment is causing much suffering and pathetic whimpering on my end (for over a week now). It has also robbed me of my luxurious voice rendering me speechless. This pains me greatly, both physically and emotionally. It hurts when your vocal cords snap violently as a result of a minor cough and it’s lonely when you have so much to tell others but when you open your mouth all that emerges is a meek squeak. Why, oh why springtime germs did you think my immune system needed a bit of a shakeup? Do you realize how busy I was this week? Did you think it funny to make me ill when I had eight video and photoshoots to conduct plus several long conference calls where I over-extended what little ability to possess to make audible sound? Well, you win. Clearly nothing I can do can beat you. Not even my magic elixir of honey, lemon and rum.

*single tear, sick soliloquy complete.

What a beautiful way for a municipality to promote a message of sustainable transportation choices. When I watch videos like this I’m so inspired to go and make some like it.

Finally, a road safety campaign that reasons rather than goes for the shock factor. This campaign shows very opposite end of the spectrum. Rather than telling people to slow down or they might die in a horrific accident, instead it convinces us to slow down and enjoy life. Wonderful.
